Gen 6
As we all know that laptop is very important in our daily work in office or in big accounting. The market has several brands for laptop but one of the most known brand is lenovo. lenovo is a multinational technology company primarily known for manufacturing and marketing personal computers, smartphones, etc. BUT lenovo also plays a major role in laptops and its thinkbook Gen series is very good. Guess what a new model has launched of that series that is Lenovo ThinkBook Gen 6.

What is it?
The Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 6 is part of Lenovo’s popular ThinkBook lineup, designed for professionals and students who require a balance of performance, portability, and value. Unlike the more premium ThinkPad series, ThinkBooks are budget-conscious while still delivering business-grade features, strong build quality, and modern hardware. The Gen 6 model brings refreshed internals, better display options, and updated connectivity in a sleek, minimalistic chassis.
⚙️ Performance and Hardware
One of the standout features of the ThinkBook 16 Gen 6 is its customizable performance options. Users can choose between the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors (up to i7-13700H) or AMD Ryzen 7000 series chips (up to Ryzen 7 7730U). These CPUs deliver ample power for productivity workloads such as spreadsheets, coding, multitasking, and even light creative tasks like photo and video editing.
Graphics performance is handled by integrated Intel Iris Xe or AMD Radeon graphics for base models, but users who need extra GPU power can opt for a discrete NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, ideal for heavier graphical workloads and some moderate gaming. Memory options go up to a generous 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and storage is equally robust with dual PCIe Gen 4 SSD slots supporting up to 8TB of combined capacity.
🖥️ Display and Visual Experience
The ThinkBook 16 Gen 6 comes with two primary display options. The entry-level version features a 16-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) IPS panel, offering 300 nits of brightness and a 45% NTSC color gamut. This is suitable for general business tasks and media consumption. For users who need better visuals—like content creators or designers—there’s a higher-end WQXGA (2560 x 1600) display, offering richer detail, 100% sRGB color accuracy, and up to a 165Hz refresh rate, which is also a great option for smoother visuals in creative workflows or light gaming.
The 16:10 aspect ratio enhances productivity by offering more vertical space, making document reading, browsing, and code review more efficient. The bezels are reasonably slim, giving it a modern and immersive screen-to-body ratio.

💻 Build Quality and Design
Aesthetically, the ThinkBook 16 Gen 6 has a clean, professional appearance with a dual-tone aluminum lid and a robust plastic base. It may not feel as premium as an all-metal laptop, but it’s well-built and passes MIL-STD 810H certification, ensuring durability against environmental stressors like vibration, temperature extremes, and minor impacts.
The keyboard is a strong point—it features a full-sized layout with a dedicated number pad, spill resistance, and optional backlighting. The key travel is satisfying, and typing for extended periods feels comfortable. The touchpad is large and smooth, though some users might find the physical click mechanism slightly stiff.
🔐 Security and Features
Security is a priority in business-class laptops, and the ThinkBook 16 Gen 6 does not disappoint. It includes a fingerprint reader integrated with the power button, an optional IR camera with facial recognition for Windows Hello, a TPM 2.0 security chip, and a physical webcam shutter for privacy protection.
Additionally, the device supports a range of productivity-enhancing tools such as AI-based noise cancellation during video calls, Lenovo Vantage software for system optimization, and Smart Power functionality to adapt performance dynamically.
🔌 Connectivity and Ports
The laptop is well-equipped when it comes to connectivity. Depending on the model, it includes USB-C with Thunderbolt 4, USB-A 3.2 ports, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45 Ethernet, a full-sized SD card reader, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack. This variety makes it highly versatile, allowing easy connection to external displays, projectors, and docking stations—ideal for hybrid work environments.
It also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1, with some variants offering optional 5G connectivity, which is useful for on-the-go professionals who need reliable internet access beyond Wi-Fi.

🔋 Battery Life
The ThinkBook 16 Gen 6 offers two battery options: a 45Wh unit and a larger 57Wh version. Battery life varies depending on the configuration, display resolution, and usage pattern, but users can generally expect 6 to 10 hours of web browsing and light productivity. Fast-charging support allows for quick top-ups during the day, minimizing downtime.
💸 Pricing and Availability in India
As of late 2024 and early 2025, the Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 6 is priced starting around ₹60,510 in India for a Ryzen 5 7530U configuration with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD.
